What is the different between an abstract and concrete nouns?

Basically, abstract nouns do not have a “physical” presence while concrete nouns are tangible which can be perceived by the 5 senses.

For example, abstract nouns include:

  • Dream
  • Belief
  • Faith
  • Happiness
  • Loyalty
  • Love

Concrete nouns include:

  • Chair
  • Teacher
  • Television
  • Shoe
  • Desk
  • Computer
